About Ideias Impressas

Who we are

Ideias Impressas publishes informational and paid promotional content about at-home vision screening, including this site's Spect-IT advertorial. We may receive compensation from sponsored links. We do not operate Spect-IT, provide medical care, or independently certify a provider's clinical, regulatory, security, or performance claims.

Our mission

Our aim is to distinguish a provider's public statements from facts we have independently verified. For Spect-IT, we describe its stated browser-based checks, email and camera requirements, account features, South African specialist directory, and important limitations. We also direct readers to professional eye-care guidance and the provider's current privacy policy and terms.

Our values

We label advertising and affiliate relationships prominently, attribute product claims to the provider, avoid testimonials we cannot document, and state when pricing or other material details are unclear. Screening is not diagnosis and never replaces a professional eye examination.

Why choose us

We focus specifically on the practical side of at-home screening: running guided self-checks, reading a results summary, tracking how your vision feels over time, and knowing when to follow up with a professional. Our content is written to be read once and understood, not skimmed and forgotten. When we mention a feature or a capability, we explain the reasoning behind it rather than simply asserting a claim, so you can judge for yourself whether it fits your situation.
